Removing The Rust

Rail movements on Metro-North's Beacon Line are rare. This permits rust to build up on the tracks. Before the rails can be inspected, the rust must be removed. This is done by running a train. A training train was taken out of Danbury on September 16, 2001 for this purpose. Ron Yee and Pierce Haviland captured a few photos along the way,
