Trains On Oahu
By Pierce Haviland

I took a vacation to get far away from the railroad. There were no trains that I was aware of on Oahu. I had heard of the Sugar Cane Train on Maui, but nothing on Oahu. I was safe, or so I thought. On the last day of my vacation I was going to play golf near Ewa Beach. What did I cross on the way to the course? Railroad tracks! My buddies told me that there was a small yard not far from the club house. After a nice day on the links, I headed over to the Hawaiian Railway. I found the remnants of an old sugar cane railroad. It is a museum now. You can visit their website at www.HawaiianRailway.com Make sure your speakers are turned down, they play background midi music (just like me).
